POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our operations. You will oversee various aspects of our business, including farmer trainings, data collection, products reselling, achieving targets on behalf of the clients, quality control among others. Your primary responsibility will be to streamline operations, drive process improvements, and optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and profitability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end group training process to ensure timely delivery of trainings, marketing and selling products on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and optimize processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop action plans to address any deviations from targets.
- Implement and maintain effective systems and procedures for data collection, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to drive individual and team growth.
- Continuously assess and mitigate operational risks, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to provide operational input during the product development lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration between operations and product design.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in agtech operations. Make recommendations for incorporating new tools or approaches to enhance operational efficiency.
MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS
BS/BA in project management, strategic management, agricultural course.
Proven experience working in the agricultural sector with at least 5 years work experience.
Strong leadership skills.
Capability for analytical thinking, critical evaluation of information and drawing logical conclusions based on evidence and data.
Understands the Kenyan employment laws.
